Concept

Marangoni effect — where it appears

Flow driven by a gradient of surface tension along an interface, which is a stress in the surface with no pressure difference behind it. It is what makes tears of wine climb a glass and what a drop of detergent does to a floating speck, and it can reverse an evaporation-driven flow entirely.
